African American Women: Where They Stand

This week NBC Nightly News is beginning a five part series called, "African American Women: Where They Stand."

The stories will cover a wide range of issues affecting African American women.
The statistics show that more than 60 percent of African American undergraduates are women. As they are being applauded for their educational success, more of their male counterparts are going to jail. What's causing the disparity and what can be done to curb this trend?
